One of the key things that need to be organised on a skiing holiday is transfers to the resort. The Alpine resort of Morzine is one of the most popular places to ski in the French Alps.

 

You can get incredibly speedy transfers from Geneva International Airport, and over the border into France which takes under two hours and provides passengers with some of the most scenic views of the stunning mountain range.  

 

Closest airport – Geneva International Airport

Transfer time – 1 hour and 30 minutes. 

Transfer options – Both shared and private transfers are available from Geneva International Airport to Morzine’s resort. 

Verbier is a ski resort in the Swiss Alps that is one of the famous ski resorts in the Four Valleys ski area. It’s famed for its nightlife with incredible apres ski options across the resort.

 

Sion airport is the closest airport to the resort, with transfers getting you there in around an hour. You can also travel there from Geneva Airport with two-hour transfers.

Transfer time – 1 hour

Transfer options – You can choose between shared and private transfers when getting to and from Verbier. 

St. Anton

Staying in the Alps but this time in Austria, St. Anton is known for being a luxurious option that is also one of Europe’s snowiest areas. You can reach the resort in less than two hours from when you land. 

 

Closest airport – Innsbruck Airport 

Transfer time – 1 hour and 20 minutes

Transfer options – Private and shared transfers are available to and from St. Anton. 

One of the ski resorts located close to Mont Blanc, the French resort of Courchevel is extremely popular among British skiers. From nearby Chambery Airport, you can reach the peaks in less than two hours.

La Clusaz

One of the closest ski resorts to Geneva is La Clusaz. With transfers available that can get you there in around an hour, it won’t be long until you’re enjoying its range of pistes.

Whistler

Moving away from the Alps for a moment, and the Canadian resort of Whistler is the biggest ski resort in North America. Famed for its stunning views and unique powder skiing activity, you’ll only need two hours for a transfer.

Transfer time – 2 hours

Sierra Nevada

You might not think of Spain and skiing, but the Sierra Nevada resort in southern Spain actually offers one of the highest altitudes in Europe. Plus, an extremely fast transfer.

Zell am See

Back in Austria, and Zell am See is a resort located close to the eye-catching Lake Zell and that offers some of the greatest mountain views in the world. It’s also ideal for family groups looking for a quieter skiing scene.

Transfer time – 1 hour and 30 minutes

Located at the foot of Mont Blanc, if you’re flying into Geneva International Airport then Chamonix is a fantastic choice. The transfer time is also extremely fast, and typically takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Kitzbuhel

Kitzbuhel ski resort in Austria is so iconic that it’s even used at the Alpine World Cup. It’s also home to a whole host of wonderful off-piste activities that can be enjoyed by groups of all kinds.

Mayrhofen

Another hugely popular Austrian ski resort is Mayrhofen. As well as all the action on the slopes, this resort is also famed for its apres ski activities where you can enjoy a drink, or two, with friends and family.
