This is the absolute best value ski transfer option we have. With this option, you will be dropped off/ collected from one of our fixed points.
Our fixed point shared transfer service also stops at Moutiers for those connecting to another ski resort. The service then continues onwards to Les Allues and Meribel Village before continuing to Meribel Centre and Mottaret. Once in Meribel, our stops cover most areas of the resort meaning you will be close to your accommodation. Please check our map below for all the stops on our line.
This is the same service as the fixed point line but with an additional last-mile minivan direct to your door with a changeover at Moutiers Gare Routiere. This upgrade will enable you to travel directly to your accommodation. This allows access to the chalets and hotels that are often on narrower roads and harder to reach.
In the resort and at the change over points, we have an Alpine Fleet representative who will meet and greet passengers on arrival and departure coaches. Our reps are a great point of contact who will help with getting your bags on board to answer any questions you may have.

MERIBEL TO GENEVA
As well as taking you to the ski resort at the start of your trip, you’re going to want to get back to the airport at the end.
With Alpine Fleet, we also offer Meribel to Geneva transfers. Just like the first leg of your trip, you can choose between a shared or private Meribel to Geneva transfer.

The Folie Douce, Rond Point des Pistes “Ronnie”, Lodge du Village (LDV) – Meribel Village, and Jack’s Bar are some of the places you could frequent when up in the mountains. We recommend The Tav (La Taverna) and La Copina for a fun time if you are staying in Meribel Town.
Meribel is also known for the creation of Ski Angels. This is where a group of volunteers known as Ski Angels are here to help you get down the mountain safely and will assist you descending off the mountain after visiting mountain apres bars.
They are now working with many places in the Alps & you will see them at the Rise Festival in Les Deux Alpes too.

SKIING IN MERIBEL
Situated at the heart of the Three Valleys, Meribel lies within the Tarentaise Valley in the Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Its central location makes it a key access point to the wider Three Valleys ski area, with lift connections linking directly to Courchevel and Les Menuires. This positioning is one of the main reasons Meribel is often chosen as a base for skiers looking to explore multiple resorts during their stay.
Meribel operates over 45 ski lifts, providing access to terrain that ranges from approximately 1,100 metres at valley level to 2,952 metres at higher elevations. The ski area covers around 150 kilometres of marked pistes, offering a balanced mix of runs suited to different skill levels. Beginners benefit from sheltered nursery slopes and progressive green runs, while intermediates have a wide choice of blue and red pistes across the Altiport and Mont Vallon sectors.
For more confident skiers, Meribel also offers a selection of steeper black runs and off-piste areas, particularly around higher-altitude zones that are well known for reliable snow conditions. Courchevel is traditionally known as a ski resort for the elite and is one of the expensive resorts in France, so with this in mind Meribel is usually more affordable than Courchevel.
Meribel Mottaret has a great beginners area for those wishing to learn to ski and gain confidence before hitting the larger slopes. They even have some lifts here that are beginner friendly and free.
Just like its sister ski resort Courchevel, Meribel is a hot spot for celebrities too. In the past we have seen The Beckhams, the Middletons, the Schumacher family, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and many more. You might even be lucky as Emma Watson (from the Harry Potter franchise) has actually brought a gorgeous chalet here. Will you spot her on the slopes this season?
Getting to the famous Folie Douce when skiing is only possible via Courchevel, however if you are planning to ski you can access it via Saulire Express lift in Meribel for pedestrians. If this is the option you’d prefer to take you will need a 3 Valleys pedestrian lift pass. If you’re not sure, check with the ski lift office and they can make it all possible for you.
Meribel has a range of villages which make up this ski resort, Les Allues, Méribel Centre, Meribel-Mottaret and Meribel Village with each possessing their own unique style.
- Les Allues is a more budget friendly style location at the entrance of Meribel resort.
- Meribel Village has a more family friendly atmosphere with restaurants and a few bars.

- Meribel Mottaret is the highest part of the resort, favoured by those more ski and snowboard orientated to make sure they have access to the best lift area in addition to a more relaxed nightlife.
Meribel Centre has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and including a lively apres and nightlife scene. Meribel Mottaret on the other hand is a much quieter area in terms of bars and clubs, however there are plenty of great restaurants to visit.
The best area in Meribel for ski in and ski out options is Meribel Mottaret without a doubt – sitting at 1750m it’s a very purpose built area in which those stunning ski in and ski out chalets are located. This area of the resort can also be the sunniest on a whole.

Meribel is part of the Three Valley ski area which consists of Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Val Thorens and St Martin de Belleville with over 319 pistes in this combined area you can come back each year and never ski the same piste twice.
The Combe du Vallon is the longest ski run in Meribel, it starts from 3000m at Mont Vallon and descends into Méribel Mottaret.
Bride-les-bain falls more under the Courchevel ski area; you can however still ski here from January to April, depending on conditions.

It’s easy to traverse Meribel with local buses operating throughout the winter season. They operate on a regular basis, typically between the hours 7am and 11pm.
If you’re thinking of getting the train to Meribel be aware the closest stop is Moutiers which you would then need to catch a local bus or get a taxi to reach the Meribel ski resort, this is about 30 minutes away.
Meribel is rather pretty with no major sky rising apartment blocks that limit your views and emits more traditional Alpine Ski resort aesthetics.
Meribel was founded by a Scottish man called Peter Lindsay in the late 1930s. With the political situation happening in Germany and Austria he wanted to have a place where British skiers could still come to ski. La Chaudanne is the main lift in Meribel. It’s located in Meribel Centre and provides access to Mottaret, Alitport & Courchevel. A great place to start your day of skiing adventures in Meribel.
