Aiguille du Midi
One of the highlights of any trip to Chamonix is the legendary Aiguille du Midi cable car. This remarkable journey will carry you high into the Mont Blanc massif, ascending to up to 3,842 metres, where you will have amazing views of France, Switzerland and Italy.
If you’ve pre-booked with us in advance, our drivers will provide you with the tickets on the day. The cable car journey will take place in two stages. First, you will stop at Plan de I’Aiguille, where you’ll experience snowy scenery, hiking routes and a beautiful atmosphere. Many guests choose to stop here for a coffee and photo opportunities.
Continuing to the summit, you can enjoy dramatic glaciers as well as a viewing terrace, restaurants and souvenir shops.
Another must-see attraction is the historic Montenvers Railway.
This iconic cog railway climbs to approximately 1,913 metres above sea level, providing stunning views across the Chamonix Valley.
At the summit, visitors can explore:
The Mer de Glace is France’s largest glacier and remains one of the region’s most impressive natural attractions.
