Lyon to La Rosiere Direct
Positioned at 1,850 metres on the French-Italian border, La Rosiere is one of the Alps’ most distinctive ski destinations. Combining French alpine charm with direct access to neighbouring Italy, the resort forms part of the Espace San Bernardo ski area, offering over 150km of interconnected pistes shared with La Thuile.
Unlike some of the larger resorts in the Tarentaise Valley, La Rosiere is known for its relaxed atmosphere, wide open slopes and exceptional sunshine thanks to its south-facing position. The resort appeals to families, beginners and intermediate skiers, while also providing challenging off-piste terrain and freeride opportunities for more experienced visitors.
One of La Rosiere’s most unique attractions is the ability to ski seamlessly between two countries in a single day. Visitors can spend the morning exploring the slopes of France before crossing into Italy for lunch in La Thuile, creating an alpine experience unlike anywhere else in the region.
Travelling to La Rosiere requires careful planning, particularly during peak winter weekends when traffic into the Haute-Tarentaise can be heavy. Alpine Fleet provides professionally managed Lyon to La Rosiere transfers with both private and shared options available. Operated by experienced alpine drivers and supported by winter-ready vehicles, flight tracking and real-time route monitoring, our service is designed to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable journey from airport to resort.
